Angella Slice, wife of Joseph Slice, wa9 born'S^pt. 8, 1842, and died Sept. 6, 1910, making her sojourn on earth 67 years, 11 months and 28 days. Sbe was baptized in infancy and at an early age confirmed a member of St. Peter's E. L. church. Later in ! life she was transfered to St. Jacob's J E. L. church, then to Mt. Horeb, Chapin, S. 0., where she remained a member until death summoned her home. Our good mother suffered intense bodily pain for a number of years, but suffered it as a brave soldier of her Lord. She was a kind and affecticnafo wife a lrwinc mother and a dear friend to al). Her death has saddened the hearts of a kind husband, five si ters, one brother, three sons, eighteen grand children and host of relatives and friend i. Her body was laid to rest at St. Jacob's church. "For her to live was Christ, to die was gain." May the good Master fulfill his promise to the bereaved: "Behold, I will send you a comforter." W. J.
