The friends of James Caughman have announced him as a candidate for re-election to the office of County * * Commissioner. Mr. Caughman has made one or th** oest commiesiuucio the county has had in a long time. He is a farmer and one that has made a success of his own affairs. Knowing him ac we do, we heartily commend him to the favorable consideration of the people of Lexington county, whom he has served honestly and fairly for two years. Do farmers eat the proper f sort of food? The farmerof today buys a much ; larger proportion of the food that goes on the table than he did ten years ago. It's a good thing that this is so because he has a great variety to select from. He should, however, use great care in selecting for the best results in health and strength. The widespread tendency in the cu/ to increase the amount of Quaker Oats eaten is due very largely to the recent demonstrations by scientific men that the Quaker Oats fed man is the man with greatest physical endurance and ; greatest mental vigor. j Farmers should give this subject careful thought and should increase j the quantity of Quaker Oats eaten by themselves, their children and the j farmhands. ? Monday being the first Monday in June, there were a number of people in town. The county board of commissioners were in session transacting regular routine, business there was also a meeting of the registration board, but there wa9 nothing out of the ordinary. Good Bains. Good rains have fallen all over the c unty during the last few days. Farmers are too busy to come to town and everything is on a hustle. Crops are said to be coming out rapidly since the warm weather of the last couple days, but ever} thing i9 much more backward than last year. In fact crops I are said to be later than any year in ay long time. x f If you want to get all the news of the county campaign, subscribe now to The Dispatch. ?100 per annum; 50c 6 months; 25c for 3 months?in advance. A Woman's Great Idea is how to make herself attractive. But, without health, it is hard for her to be lovely in face, form or temper. A weak, sickly woman will be nervous and irritable. Constipation and Kidney poisons show in oimples, blotches, skin eraptions and a wretched complexion. BatElectric Bitters always prove a godsend to women who want health, beauty and friends. They regulate Stomach, Liver and Kidneys, purify the blood; give strong nerve9, bright eyes, pure breath, smooth, velvety skin, lovely complexion, good health.
