Frank SCoCartha. H. Frank McCartha, aged 33 years, died at Hot Springs, Ark., on last Wednesday morning, and his remaina were laid to rest in the cemetery at St. Mathews Lutheran church, near Gilbert, on Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock with la9t sad rites by the Rev. A. R. Taylor. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse McCartha, of near Gilbert. Several j years ago he left his borne to take a I business course in one of the colleges I at Macon, Ga. He accepted a position in Augusta and later in Charleston. About seven years ago he went * to Memphis. Tenn., where he engaged m uie mercantile ousmess, meeting with eminent succe99. ( About a year ago he had a case of o smallpox, from the effects of which he J never fully recovere i.
