Fsr Issuing Bonds for "Waterworks
in the Town of
Lexington.
Ar a meeting of the Town Council
for the town f Lexington on October
ISrb. It was oidered that an election be
held in the Town Hall on November
JSth, next. 011 the question of issuing
Fifteen Thousand Dollars (oI5,00o.00i
in coupon bonds to run for not more
than iO rears, and not less than 20
years, and to diaw interest at (5
per cent, payable annually, at Lexington,
S. C., the proceeds of such bonds
to be used in the erection of a Watre
Works Plant, for fire protection in accordance
with the stipulations in the
petitions.
It is further ordered that at such
election the ballot shall contain: "For
issuing: fifteen thousand dollars six per
cent, coupon bonds for waterworks,
for protection against fire, according
to the specifications set out in the petitions
therefor, Yes."
"For issuing fifteen thousand dollars
six per cent, coupon bends lor
waterworks, for protection against fire,
according to the specifications set out
in the petitions therefor, Xo."
It is also ordered that \V. H. P?ickley,
Harry Roberts and B. H. Earre be appoints!
managers of said election, and
they are hereby instructed to provide
for such election two ballot boxes, one
for the ballots on the issue of bonds,
and one for the bailors of three citizens
of the town ro serve as a Board of Commissioners
of Public Work*.

whose fellowship he lived till daath. i
His afflictions were many and long,
j but he bore them patiently, always
I looking for a better day.
He leaves a father and mother, six
brothers, t .vo sisters, a heartbroken
wife and three small children.
Funeral services were held, at St.
Paul's and the body laid away in the
fami:y cemetery. Peace to bis ashes;
