Reformation and home- mission services were held in St. Stephen's Lutheran church on Sunday morning a: 11 o'clock. The sermon was preached by the nncfm* T?^v T. S. Rrrttni. spoke of the privileges we enjoy today as a result of the Protestant reformation of the sixteenth century, and the great moral obligation resting upon the Lutheran church to do missionary work, especially among the unchurched Lutherans in this country. . In the evening at 7:30 o'clock a memorial service was held under the auspices of the Woman's Ifccme and Foreign Missionary society. An ad2re?s was made by the Ilun. C. M. Gfird on the life and character of Mrs. \T. C. P.awl. The speaker traced her family history, read extracts from her writings and hymns, and spoke of the *reat impetus given the cause of misdon s among the women of the church hrough her personality and zeal. The programme, consist!: g of made and recitations pertaining to misdons. was very interesting indeed. Marked attention was given to a beauiful vocal solo rendered by Miss Ellen VIorgan, a charming young Savannah voman, who is visiting her aunt, Mrs. fames E. Henurix.
