Mr. Warren DuPre, proprietor of a large bookstore in Spartanburg, had been missing money, fountain pens and other things from his store for some time, and on last Monday night got a policeman to stay in the store and watch. About 3:30 Tuesday morning some one opened the front door with a skeleton key and went to I the iriohey clrawGP. The policeman I started towards him, when the thief ran. The officer pursued, and caugbti him two blocks away, and greatly td his astonishment, fonnd it was a brother Officer, Policeman F. R. Mulligan. Mr. DuPre on account of the officer's family, refused to pfosOCute. A warrant was later sworn out for his arrest on the charge of housebreaking by Prof. Frank Evans, a member of the Law and Order League. Mulligan surrendered and was taken before a magistrate and was released on a $1,000 bond furnished by Mayor JJohn F. Floyd and T. A. Green. KISSING MUST STOP. - Kissing is under the ban in Atlanta. It's unhealthy and embarrassing to those not taking part in the exercise. A few months ago they convicted and fined traveling man who kissed his wife on the street as he arrived home from a trip.
