Juniors Defeated by
Lexineton LI-11.

The Lexington Mill defeated the
Lexington Juniors in a poorly played
game of ball on last Thursday afternoon.
The game was called in the
fifth inning by agreement. The score
by innings follows:
Lexington Juniors 3 0 0 1 1?5

A Warning to Borrowers.
A man who was too economical
to take his home paper sent his little
boy to borrow a copy taken by
his neighbor. In his haste the boy
ran over a $4.00 stand cf bees and

in ten minutes looked like a water
summer squash.
His cries reached his father, who
ran to his assistance and failing to
notice a barbed wire fence, ran into
that, breaking it down, cutting
a handful of flesh from his anatomy
and running a $5.00 pair of pants.
The old cow took advantage of the
gap in the fence and got into the
cornfield and killed herself eating
green corn. Hearing the racket, the
wife ran out upsetting a four gallon
churn full of rich cream into a
basket of kittens, drowning the
whole flock. In the hurry she dropped

baby, left alone, crawled through
the spilled milk into the parlor ruining

According to a dispatch from Niantic,
Pa. to the New York Amerieican,

animals, With a low, musical, whirring

Stella's sister, Cora, is a rural mail
carrier known all over this region.

two trips each day, a distance of
twenty seven miles.

fearless girl has traveled a trifle
over 10,000 miles. Everybody along
the route welcomes her and looks for I
her cheery smile every morning. She ?
is a musician, too, playing the pipe '
organ in church and Sunday school.
A Happy Family Reunion.
To the Editor of The Dispatch:
At the home of Mr. Jesse M. Roof,
at Arthurs, there wa9 a happy gathering
on the 30th of May, the occasion
being the celebration of hi9 72nd
birthday. There were present five
children, twenty-nine grand children, ?
four great grand children, besides a
number of friends. One of the children,
five grand children and three
great grand children absent. Every ,
one came with well-filled baskets and
gave him a surprise picnic. The contents
of the baskets were spread on a
long table beneath the shade trees in
the yard, and was enjoyed by all.
Mr. Roof seemed as jolly as any of
the boys, and enjoyed the occasion to
the fullest extent.
One Who Was Present.

Obituary.
Mrs. Rhodfella Kyzer departed this
life June S, 1909, at the age of 73 ,
years, 3 months and 1G days. She was
first married to Calvin Long, and af
ter his death to Malachia Kyzer. She
had 8 children, 43 grand children and
10 great grand children. She was
baptized in infancy and at her death
was a member of Union Evangelical
Lutheran church. Her remains were
interred in the cemetery at Pisgah
Lutheran church in the presence of
many relatives and friends. C.
