L. Richardson Jailed On Serious Charge. S. L. Richardson, a white man, is in jail here upon a very serious charge. I He was arrested at his home in West j Union, S. C., by Deputy Sheriff JMil! ler on Sunday night upon a warrant I sworn t.nt by rise Citizens Bank of Batesburg, charging him with obtain- i ing money under false pretence and misrepresentation. At his request lie was carried to Augusta Monday on the early train whore he had some money on deposit in a bank in that city, i Richardson, it is alleged, secured ?1,500 from the Batesburg bank on ficticious paper, and it is said that he secured several thousand dollars from Columbia banks bv the same oroced ure.
