Max Gunnel], who shot a young man named Cannon in Brookland several months ago, was last week shot by Earle Womble while the two were out hunting. Another casexin vhieh a Brookland man was shot was also nol prossed by the solicitor, that of S* J. Doyle, charged . with shooting Murphy P. Hobbs. Wright Bead. Mr., W. C. Wright, for many years proprietor of Wright's hotel In Columbia, died at Soutbport, N. C., on Thursday afternoon after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Wright was also a director of the Carolina National Bank.
