Smith, who escaped recently from the penitentiary with Harry Dean, sentenced for murder for life in fchfi nenitentiarv from Spartanburg county, was captured at his home near Inman Thursday night. Dean has thus far made good his escape. After they left the walls of the penitentiary they exchanged clothes and walked to Blythwood where they boarded the train for Charlotte, N.
