Some one has remarked that it is believed Mr. Lever will have opposition for his seat in Congress at the ) next election and that it may influence his course in relation to his proposed candicacy for the United States Senate. We do not believe that any supposed opposition will make him enter the senatorial race against his will, and if he should go up against Mr. Latimer it will be simply because ae will believe in his power to win. Let us say to those who seem anxious 0 force Mr. Lever in the senatorial race that they are "waking up the wrong passenger," and if they want their political carcasses to remain intact for awhile yet they had better Let him alone and not "monkey with the buzz saw." He is not a political toward to be scared out of his present position by any one; and those in this 2ongressional district who think they 2an beat Mr. Lever for congress had better think twice before they act mce if they don't want political hash made of themselves.
