The following new bills of interest were introduced in the House Thurs day: Mr. Croft?A bill to provide for the appointment of bailiff in the circuit courts of the second circuit. Mr. Bryan?A bill to amend section 1739 of code of laws of South Carolina, 1902, volume 1, changing the time for the sale of certain property from one year to 60 days. Mr. Bryan?A bill to amend section 1762, code of laws, South Carolina, iftfta. hv fivincr license for sale of med , O ( ical books, clocks and pictures at $500. Mr. Legare?A bill to prevent the adulteration of rice flour. Mr. Wade?A bill to repeal section 2066, volume 1, code of laws, South Carolina, 1902, and to: provide salaries paid railroad commissioners shall be paid by the State. * Mr> Nicholson?A bill to provide an annual appropriation for the holding of the annual reunion of the Confed?r erate veterans in this State and to create a commission to disburse! the same. Mr. Goodwin?A biU to enforce the liability of express or transportation in this State for damages arising from carelessness or neglect in transporta-' tion and delivery of goods . in their charge. Mr. Gyles?A bill to amend article:: 6 of chapter 14, code of laws of South Carolina, 1902, volume 1, relating to L assessment of taxes. Mr. Boyd?To amend compulsory vaccination act so as to exempt rural communities. NEW BTTJ.fi IN SENATE. Mr. Crouch?A bill to fix the time for holding the courts in the eighth circuit. ' Senator Wells?A bill to further declare the law in reference to the adoption of illegitimate children. Senator Otts?A joint resolution to amend article 11 of the constitution 011895, so as to provide for "liberal system of free schools." "The little black-eyed, youthful but fiery congressman" from the seventh South Carolina district stirred up things in the house yesterday when he rapped "Uncle Joe" Cannon for his autocratic manner in dealing with . the forest reserve bill. The delegations in the fifth judicial ; circuit, comprising the counties of ! Richland, Lexington, Edgefield and j Kershaw, met yesterday to consider i a number of changes suggested by Solicitor-.Tinimerman to relieve the congested condition of the criminal court of Richland, where a land ^ase has not been tried in several terms.
