Peyton Hartley, agent of the Southern railway at Batesburg, died at the home of her parents, Barnwell, S. C., on v Monday last, after an illness of about a year. She was a woman possessed r1"* with many charms; a true member of the Baptist church; a kind and deyoted wife; a fond and affectionate mother. 4 She leaves, besides a host of friends and relatives, a husband and one son, about two years old.
