THE LEXINGTON DISPATCH, j Wednesday, December 6, 1905. In Kemoriam. j This a bright, glad and beautiful j world, fragrant with the odors of flow- I ers, tuneful with the songs of birds, re- | splendant with the glories of earth, j sea and sky; but yet, at this time with j the gloom of death overshadowing our ! home, its beautiful attractions seems to be unnoticed by us, for the merciless reaper Death has entered our home and stolen from us our dear daughter, Man*. Our vision is blurred with the blackness ! of serrow and it seems that every sound ; that strikes our ear lias in it a cadence ! of dispair. Without the presence of I our daughter, who has gone beyond us, our home indeed seems empty and cheerless to us and in our hearts there is a dreary, dismal, aching void. The only j that is vonclisafed us is the | U^JL^VlOrviivu vuwv _ street relization of the fact that our beloved is at peace. The one upon whom we have lavished our affections is now in the land "where the weary is at rest." Bending over the open coffin looking at the folded hands which will never clasp ours again in this world and gazing upon the closed eyes in which we will never see our daughter Mary on this earth again, our scalding tears fall as we realize that our earthly companionship with her is forever at an end. Our only consolation is that our dear daughter has heard the words from the Father's hps: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joys of thy Lord." Our consolation is found in a'consideration of the fact that our treasure is in heaven. The poor, worn frame will never more be ransaked with the agonies of pain; suffering is at an end, but we are cheered in the reflection that it will be but a little while until we will cross the dark river and join our darling one in that- "land that is fairer than day. Tuberculoses of the bowels was the cause of her death, wliich originated in a case of measles contracted over a year ago. Dear Mary, we miss thee from our home, We miss her from her place; A shadow o'er our life is cast, We miss the sunshine of thy face, We miss thy kind and willing hand, Thy fond and earnest care; Our home is dark without thee, We miss thee every wnere. Through all pain at times she'd smile, A smile of heavenly birth: And when the angels called her home She smiled farewell to earth. 'Heaven retraineth now are treasure, Earth the lovely caakets keeps, And the sunbeams love to linger Where our sainted Mary sleeps. Dearest Mary, thon hast left ns, And our loss we deeply feel, But 'tis God that has bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. Yet again we hope to meet thee, When the day of life is fled, When in heaven with joy to greet thee, Where no farewell tear is shed. B. B. H, Newberry, Nov. 18, 1905. How's This ? C., was born September 16th, 1905, and died October 30th, 1905, making its short stay on earth one month and fifteen days. The beautiful casket for the indwelling of the immortal soul was laid away in St. Jacob's cemetery to await the second coming of the tender loving Shepheard, who, when upon earth fresh from the shining courts of heaven said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Papa. In Praise of Chamberlain's Cough Bemedy. There is no other medicine manufactured that has received so much praise and so many expressions of gratitude as Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. It is effective, and prompt relief follows'its use. Grateful parents everywhere do not hesitate to testify to its merits for the benefit of others. It is a certain cure for croup and will prevent the attack if given at the first appearance of the disease. It is especially adapted to children as it is pleasant to take and contains nothing injurious. Mr. E. A. Hum phreys, a well known resident and clerk in the store of Mr. E.
