This is to certify that on March the Itb, 190.5, a very destructive fire coueumed one-third cf the town known as New Brookland. Among those who are at a great loss are the I Baptists of the town. In fact they are the greatest loser*; their loss aggregates $19,950. Oar new and commodious bouse of worship was burned to the ground. To rebuild our bouse we are compelled to call upon our bretbern and friends to belp us. So many of our people lost their bomes aod all tbey bad that it will be impossible for us to rebuild agaiD unless Christian men and women come to our rescue. Therefore, we ask not only the Christian people of our 8tate and of tbe city of Columbia to assist us, but a contribution from any one will be gladly received I therefore trust that all persons who are interested in tbe welfare of Christian work and good morals will do what they can for tbe rebuilding of New Brookland Baptist church.
