The exercises will begin promptly at 8 p. m. A cordial invitation is extended to all. Mr and Mrs. W. P. Roof left for Tampa, Florida last week. Last Friday afternoon the turpentine still of Rev. W. D. Q lick, near the Lexington Lumber MVg. Co, came near being destroyed by fire. A charge was being boiled when the roeeo became too hot blowing the cap off The flames leaped up sitting fire to the shed. Fortunately Rev. Quick replaced the cap as quickly as possible shutting cff the ihroes and the fire on the sued was boon estin guiebed. The many friends of Mrs. Cathrine Willsou was pained to receive the announcement of her death which occurred in Columbia Monday afternoon. She was b.ra in this place on April 16.h 1828 and was a sister of the late M-jor H. A Meetzo and for a long time resided in the old home of Mr. G. M. Herman, on Depot street. The 'funeral services was held at Ebenezar Lutheran church by the Rsv. C. A. Freed. The interment was Eimwocd. Taken Up One hog.
