Milligan, died at her home -in Columbia Tuesday and her remains were brought over this morning and interred in the home burying grounds at the Reuben Rnof old place near here. K* She w&s a woman of pure Christian character, kiod and gentle in disposition and a loving and dutiful daughter, a devoted mother and aa effectonate wife. Her remains were taken to Macedonia church in the Fork, and there they rest in the cemetery connected with that church. The burial services were conducted by the Revs. J. K. Efird and S. C. rBalientine in the presence of a large camber of relatives and friends who bad assembled to pay this last sad k tribute to the memory of their de9 parted loved one. Graichen, as a token of the love they bare her and appreciation of her noble efforts? in behalf of church wo k. This sum was given to defray her expenses to her old home in Iowa and return. It came as a great surpiise to her as the first icformation she bad of the gift was when she received a check for that amount through the post office. Mrs. Emma Graicben, and her daughter, Miss Ernestine, left Monday for a visit to the girlhood home of the former in Iowa. Tfiere was a ripple of excitement in our town last Thursday when it became Doised about the streets that the home of Mr. H. L. Oswald bed been entered by burglars the previous Dight and a gold watch and cash to the amount of about $40 taken from his sleeping apartmenfcf, while he and family were asleep. Following this report came another that some one had stolen three watches, a diamond ring, a necklace and perhaps several other articles of jewelry from the room of Mrs. Lizzie Boozer at the Drafts Hotel. Mrs. Boozer is not certain as to the time these articles were taken, but she missed them on Thursday morning. The robberies have been placed in the hands of Constable P. H.
