Charlton Kyzer, of this place, died last Saturday night and was buried ; on Sunday afternoon at Pisgah church. Mr. Heber Barr, who holds a lucrative position with the Olympia mills of Columbia, came over Saturday to spend the Sabbath with his home folks. Clark has severed his connections with, the Duckings Mills, in Columbia, and has accepted a position in the time-keeping office of the Olympia Mills, of that city. T. B. A number of our subscribers who had been attending court last week dropped in to see ae before leaving for home last Saturday. We are always glad to have our friends visit us when they are in town. There will be a Thanksgiving supper at the home of Mrs. E. B. Roof next Thursday evening. The program will consist of music, songs and recitations and the proceeds will be donated to St. Stephens Lutheran Church. Postmaster Leaphart wishes to announce to the patrons along the R. F. D. route that on acoount of next Thursday being a national holiday, no mail will be sent out on that day. But the patrons can receive their mail if they will call at the Post Office. Fewer Gallons; Wears Longer. Mr. H. Albert Meetze, a progressive and up to date farmer of near this place, brought to our office last week four Keifer pears weighing four pounds and ten ounces. Mr. Meetze raised these on his place and says all four grew on one twig. Obituary. Died on November, the 19 1903, Lorenza Coleman, son of Jacob Hoof and wife Rebecca. This dear and very attractive child only stopped over in this land of storm, sorrow and death the short period of two years, four months and twenty-seven days. To mourn his death is a father, mother, four brothers and two sisters and many relatives. Thus another one has been added to that bright train that Burrounds the throne of God forever. A. R. T.
