The mail on the early morning train on the Southern road from Augbsta to Columbia, has been diecon tinued, and the train which passes this place at 10:30 now carries the northern mail. This is a bad arrangement for the Dispatch as the papers will not reach Fork subscribers uniil a day or so after publication, and it will be this way with subscribers in other sections of the county. Ten Thousand Churches In the United States have used the the Longman & Martinez Pure Paints. Every church will be given a liberal qoantitv whenever they paint. You need only four gallons of L. & M. paint, and throe gallons of oil mixed therewith to paint a good sized house. Houses painted with these paints never grow shabby, 6ven after 18 years. These celebrated paints are sold by W. P. ROOF, 8?34 Lexington, S. C. Side Invited. Bids are invited for earring the mail over two Star routes, as follows: Route 20310, leaves Lexington, for Seivern via Clarks Mill, Rishton, Stall, a distance of 31? miles every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, re turning leaves Severn for Lexington every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Bond required $ 1,000. Route 20308 from Lexington to Peter's, Boylston, Rocky Well, Ella, a distance 18 miles three times a week and return every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, Bond $600. For information as to bide, etc., call on the Post master at this place. A Wagon Yard. Next week will witness the opening of the State Fair in Columbia. All of the hotels and boarding houses will be filled to> overflowing. Many people from this county will go there in vehicles of their own, consequently they are advised to put up at the wagonyard of Mr. Wm. Piatt, and then go into his well appointed dry goods, notion and millinery stores and make selectioa of goods needed in these line3. All goods are warranted to be first class in every respect and the best on the market for the money. f Court Adjourns. i After considering the evidence for something over twenty hours the jury in the Tillman case brought in a verdict of not guilty, and Col. Tillman was warmly congratulated by friends who immediately gathered around him. At the conclusion of this case the court of Sessions was adjourned sine die, and the Court of Equity was called and was continued until Saturday when it, too, was adjourned and Judge Gary left for bis home in Abbeville, carrying with him the esteem of our people.
