Hall's Familv Pills are the best Obituary. Mrs. Susannah C- Sharps was born July 16, 1S12, and died May 9;b, 190S. Some days previous to the latter day the angel of death was hovering over the home of Mother Sharpe and on that date came down and caught up her immortal spirit and bore it to the land beyond the river. Thus five motherless children, with a large circle of frier ds wait on these mortal shores and mourn their loss. Oa December 29tb, 1902, the Executive Board cf Lexington Baptist Association met and by unanimous consent the State mission board was asked help for New Brookland, Lexiogton C H., Steadman and Old Lexington churches. I wrote the State Mission Board as above stated, but did not send the letter until I showed it to Col. D. J. - - - ? e 1 J Knotts, Ibe chairman or our Dcaru, for his approval, which was about two days afterwards. The letter met his approval, and I copied it in order to get the date correct, and in copying the letter it appears that I omitted to name Old Lexington church, a mistake I very much regret. So I take this plan to communicate with the brethren and friends of the good work at Old Lexington, as an individual, and others to render Buch help to the members of said church as they can. I assure you it will be greatly appreciated by all concerned. I do this because it has past beyond the reach of the State mission board, as that board meets only on the first of the year and maps out its plans for the year, upon the basis fixed by the State Convention. And as our association works in harmony with the State Board, it places it out of the reach of the executive board of the association. So brethren, sisters and friend?, let us help the Lord's cause at Old Lexington, as an extra effort to the regular mission work. As the first quarter has passed and the second is nearly gone, let your pledges anb contributions come io, either to Col. D. J. Knotts or the undersigned, and the amount will be promptly forwarded to the pastor in charge. Proper acknowledgment cf amount sent in will be made. We want fifty dollars. Fraternally yours, C. H. Corbitt, Secty Swansea, S. C, May 20, 1903. Bather Fishv. To the Editor of the Dispatch: On the morning of Ascension Day 1 went fishing and caught a trou*-, which weighed twelve pounds, and fifteen njollies. I got home about 2 o'clock, then went down Long branch and killed three squirrel?, three rabbits and found a bee tree that bad seven feet of honey. What a sweet time I had for awhile. I wish all my friends could have seen me et joy myself, especially my friend Andrew Derrick. J. T. Gregory. Sis Last Hope Realised. From the Sentinel. Gebo, Mont. In fcbe first opening of Oklahoma to settlers in 1889, the editor of this paper was amoDg the many Beekers after fortune who made the big race one fine day in April. During hie traveling about and afterwards hie camping upon his claim, he encountered much bad water, which, together with the severe heat, gave him a very severe diarrhoea which it seemed almoet impossible to check, and along in June the case became so bad he expected to die. One day one of his neighbors brought him one small bottle of Chamberlain's Colic, Coolera and Diarrhoea Remedy as a last hope. A big dose was given him while he was rolling about on the ground in great agony, and in a few minutes the dose was repeated. The good effect of the medicine was soon noticed and within an hour the patient was taking his first sound sleep for a fortnight. Dr. Bahn is accustomed to wearing clouded glasses on account of weakened eyesight and in order to pass some obstructions on the sidewalk where a house was being erected, he crossed to the other side of the street, but just before reaching the pavement he did not observe a number of small wires that were holding a tree, as he was walking very briskly, and being tripped by one of the wires, he fell wiih much force upon the . r l?: i Stone pavemem, iracturiug ma ieit koee and badly bruising and spraining his right hand.
