Tbe accomplished MIsb Eppie Roof, spent Easter wiih the borne folks and has returned to pursue htr studies at tbe Palmetto Iut-titute. Mrs. Herbert Geiger and little daughter have been very sick but glad to say they are improving. Tbe charming Miss Maude Bookman, of Columbia, is visiting Miss Carrie Davie, much to the delight of her friends. Easter services were observed at Beuiah church. Tbe songs and music by the choir was fine. Special mention of a solo sang by Misses TTm?ma Kaiirler and Hattie Backer. The recitations by the little girls were fine, special mention of little Miss Catherine Kaigler's recitation will not be no just to others who rendered th6ir parts bo well, bat hers was certainly fine. The recital by Miss Hattie Kaigler also deserves special mention. The address by Mr. J. K. Davis was well received, and the sermon by Rev. M. M. Byrd on the occaeion wa3 fine. It was enjoyed by all present and the day will long be remembered. Obituary. Joseph F. Free, son of J.- F. and P. G. Free, was born December 10, 1872, and departed this mortal life March 24, 1903, making his earthly pilgrimage 32 years, 3 months and 14 days. He was married to Mies lindsey Senn, April 19,1896, making his short stay with her 6 years, 11 months and 5 days. He was a dutiful child to his parents and won the love of those whom he came in contact with. He wxs a hind and loving lie.
