The new jury law has now passed both branches of the General Assembly and only needs ratifycation and the Governor's signature to become a law. Both of these requirements will, in all probability, be met within this week or the first of next, but hardly soon enough for it to becom operative within the time prescribed -t iL. by law lor ttie convening oi iue February term of court for this county. Should a necessity arise, however, this can be remedied by holding an extra session. The salient features cf the bill as passed, 8re as follows: Section 1 Constitutes the County Auditor, the County Treasurer and the Clerk of the Court of Common Plea9 a beard of jury commissioners. Section 2 Prescribes that these officers shall immediately after the v passage of this act, and thereatter in the month of December of this and each succeeding year prepare a list of such qualified electors, under the provisions of the constitution, between the ages of 21 and f>5 years, to serve as jurors. l Section 3 Prescribes the manner ft iu which the jurors are to be drawn. m Section 4.
