The mornings are frosty. Plenty of ice was reported Thurs- \ day. The weather was quite blustery yesterday. Some farmers say that it is too dry to sow small grain. There was ice of#considerab!e thick ness this morning. These cold mornings makes one feel that it is time to eat hog and hominy. The woman question for centuries has come; "What did she have on?" The following pupils attended school at Smith Branch during the month ending November 3rd, without missing a day: Bessie \ Berry, Judson Berry, Luther Berry, Allie Lewis, Ethel and Cleo Smith. ?y\ Mr. John W. Fryehas our thanks for a dozen large yam potatoes. They were certainly beauties and were made from the vine, which were set out during the drouth of last spring. The factory boys painted the hill red Monday night, the occasion being a serenade of a newly wedded popular young couple.
