Drafts, entered into that rest which remaineth to the people of God, at her home, in Saluda county, on last Friday, October 21, 1899, in the 56th year of her age, and her remains were interred in St. Stephen's cemetery in this place on Saturday. Mrs. Drafts was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Hendrix, lately of this place, both of whom have preceded her to the spirit land, her mother only a few months ago. Mrs. Drafts was a most estimable Christian woman who in early life had given her hand to the church of her choice and her heart to God to whom she had consecrated her life, and she remained steadfast to the end of her earthly pilgrimage in her faith in the promises of her God that beytnd this va!e of tears there was a peaceful and beautiful life in the land of glorious immortality. Her girlhood days were spent at at this place, and her whole life was remarkable for deep piety, sincere sympathy for the sorrowing, the sick the suffering and the dying, and by her bright Christian life, she brought rejoicing out of sadness, light out of darkness and many will lise in that day of days and call her blessed. We extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved husband, stricken family and sorrowing friends. I I 4~ \ :;ff' m'?
