Good Flour. 1
It is with pleasure that we call attention
to the excellency of the flour (
ground at the roller riiill of Mr. E ^
J. George, which is located in the :
western suburbs of this town. Mr.
^ _ ?
George has recently purchased a 1
complete set of roller mill machinery '
which is now in thorough working
order, and being a miller of long and !
wide experience, he manufactures a
flour that far surpasses that produced
by the mills of any other section of
the country. His flour is ground <
from sound fresh wheat and is absolutely
free from any kind of adulterations
whatever. His mill is a home
enterprise and is deserving of home
patronage and we are glad to learn
that he is meeting with success.
He is receiving shipments cf wheat
from Columbia and other parts of
Richland county, all sections of LexingtoD,
and from sections of the surrounding
counties and all his customers
express themselves as being
HigfcJy pieasea wnn tne quantity ana
quality of the flour. Consumers will
find this flour for sale by some of our
local merchants, and they should get
a sack and giv6 it a trial and we feel
satisfied that they will be so well
pleased with the result that they will
use no other. We have given this
flour a trial and know whereof we
speak.

Death of Mrs. J. Cal. Drafts.
After a long and painful illness
Mrs. Claudie D. Drafts, the beloved
wife of Mr. J. Cal. Drafts, entered
into that rest which remaineth to the
people of God, at her home, in Saluda
county, on last Friday, October
21, 1899, in the 56th year of her
age, and her remains were interred
in St. Stephen's cemetery in this
place on Saturday. Mrs. Drafts was
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy
Hendrix, lately of this place, both of
whom have preceded her to the spirit
land, her mother only a few months
ago.
Mrs. Drafts was a most estimable
Christian woman who in early life
had given her hand to the church of
her choice and her heart to God to
whom she had consecrated her life,
and she remained steadfast to the
end of her earthly pilgrimage in her
faith in the promises of her God that
beytnd this va!e of tears there was a
peaceful and beautiful life in the land
of glorious immortality.
Her girlhood days were spent at
at this place, and her whole life was
remarkable for deep piety, sincere
sympathy for the sorrowing, the sick
the suffering and the dying, and by
her bright Christian life, she brought
rejoicing out of sadness, light out of
darkness and many will lise in that
day of days and call her blessed. We
extend our deepest sympathies to the
bereaved husband, stricken family
and sorrowing friends.
