The February term of court for this county opened today with Judge Townsend presiding. The attendance upon the court was unusually large, people from every section of the county being present. This couit promises to be ODe of the most important courts held in thi3 county for a number of years. There are five or six murder cases on the docket of which three or four will probably be tried at this ? session. Besides these cases there are a large number of minor cases which will be heard, in which event it is possible that almost the entire term of two weeks will be consumed in hearing cases on the criminal side of the court, unless the Solicitor ? - 1- L 1 <ieciaes 10 iry oniy sueu c-as-es ?utie the prisoners are confined in j*i! and postpone those where the persons charged with crime are out on bail, which seems tu be the prevailing practice all over the State.
