The applications, after being passed upon are to be referred to the county board and by them to the State Board. A Prominent Merchant. I have sold Cheney's Expectorant ily for several years. It is superior to any Cough medicine I havee^er used. I recommend it to everybody. T. J. Buchanan. Atlanta, Ga. The Story of the Information; OR, The Life of Martin Lnther. This intensly interesting and romatic entertainment will be given at Brookland on the 18 and 19 of this month for the benefit of the Lutheran church of that place, by the talented lecturer, Mrs. H. E. Monroe. It deals with one of the most stirring and interesting events in history and the gifted lady makes it impressive and attractive by her eloquent lecture. Beautiful stereoptigon views, over eighty in number, the magnificently executed dialogues, processions and drills, the rendering in the most dramatic effects of the various parts by the numerous actors in the story, about one hundred and fifty carefully trained, makes this splendid historic play as real as life and as fascinating as the most thrilling romance in fiction. Prominent among the scenes are the grand military display. Luther before Charles V, at the Imperial Diet at Worms. This has been just ly called the greatest scene in modern European history. Here Luther stands before the mighty. The world's pomp and power are gathered here. But the prestige of rank and power and the glitter and blaze of pomp and show do not intimidate him; but as a true soul he makes in a marvelous speech that "good confession" unsurpassed in moral grandeur in the history of men, "Here I stand! I cannot do otherwise. God help. Amen." The nun scene is touching and impressive and does not fail to give pleasure. Cjnspicicus among the nuns is Catherene von Bora, lovely in person and in noble family witb whom Luther is united in holy wedlock. We trust that many of our citizens will avail themselves of this oppitunity to witness a thrilling entertainment and at the same time patronize a worthly cause. OBITUARY.
