We get the following from the New York Sun : Alabama, 20 counties prohibition ; 11 dispensaries; 35 license. Arkansas, 44 counties prohi bition ; 29 license and two di vided. Delaware, one lia'f prohibition. Georgia, 104 counties prohibition ; 33 license ; one dispensary Florida, 32 counties prohibi hibition ; 13 parti/ prohibition. Kentucky, 47 counties prohibition ; 35 have one licensed place of sale; 19 have two licensed places , 18 straight ilcense. Louisiana, 20 counties prohibition ; 39 license. Maryland, 15 counties prohibition ; nine license. Mississippi, 05 counties prohibition ; 10 license. Missouri, 12 counties out of 155 have prohibition. Tennessee has state prohibition, exception being mode of eight cities of over 5,000 inhabitants. Texas, 141 counties prohibi tion1 57 partial prohibition, and 48 license. South Carolina has the dis. pensary system throughout the state, and as for North Carolioa a recent local option law permits of prohition, dispensary or license. We have not the sta tistics aa to tha": state, but the prohibition sentiment is growing in that state. Virginia, Richmond and other large cities have license. The rest of the stato according oo law, "dry." West Virginia, 40 prohibition counties and 14 license. It f p pears that genoral[y those counties with a large rural popula tion and having uo large town within their borders vote against the salooh.
