Then came a ibort speech on the obiects and irincples of the Jr. O. U. A. M. )y Mr. J. F. Nisbet of the Lanlaster Council, which was followed >y an eloquent speech on the >rigin and history of the Order >y Col. Z P. Smith of Raleigh, C. Hon D. E. Fmley was then ntroduced and made a short ipeech on woodcraft. These ipeeobes were all excellent and vere especially appreciated and in joyed by the members of the wo orders and friends interested n them. Hayes receive 1 a telegram yesterday announcing the death of his brother, Dr. Jno. W. Hayes, at his home in Euroka Springs, Ark. Dr. Hayes has been in fuiling health for some time, and spoilt u short time in Kershaw in early summer in the hope of being benefitted. Mr. Hayes will havo the sympathy ef the community in this bereavement.
