C., was instantly killed Fridnv by an infuriated horse. The accident happened at the dinner hour betveen 12 rnd 1 o' s clock last Friday. The horses had , been ungeared and woro turned [1 ^ loose in the stable lot during din p, ner time. One of the horses,a j young animal, managed to break ^ out of the lot and jumped over a u low fence into a wheat field in the rear of the house. Not wishing ^ to call her husband from his rest, j Mrs. Rogers crossed into the field j and attempted to dnvo the horse s oat. The brute hecamo infuriated 4 at the attempt and rushed at Mrs. . Rogers. Florence, May 17.?The Knterprise Tobacco stemmery was burned here this morning about .1 o' clock. This was tho best equipped and built stemmery in south Carolina. The building, which had just been completed since tho tiro in .January when it was dam aged considerable, cost tlio company $16,000. The fire was undoubtedly of incendiary origin.
