Boston, Dec. 26.?la a blind ing storm which swept Boston harbor this afternoon the now Clyde line steamer Kiowa, inwuid bound from Jacksonville, Flu., and Charleston, S. C., was ram med aad sunk by tho steamer Aduiiaal Dewey of the United Fruit company, outward bound for Port Antonio, Jamaica, and Port Limon, Costa# Rica. Capt. Chichester and the entirs crew of the Kiowa, numbering 30 inea, were rescued by a tug. Killed Each Other. Tampa, Fla. Dec., 21.?Jcsub Fernandez and Enrique Velasque met this morning in a saloon and shot each other. Velasque is dying and Fernandez cannot recovor. Bad blood had existed since Saturday night <vhen Fernandez called Valasque a thief. Since then they had two oncounters, but were separated. When they met this morning Fernandez shot Velasque in the hand, stomach and left lung. Fernandez rose and rushed al Volasqne with a knife but spectators prevented him from using it. A Christmas Storm Destroys Property and Lives. Americus, Ga., Dec. 26.?A destructive storm passed ovor this section Friday. On the McNeil farm several houses were destroyed and one man was killed by flying timbors. On theLarter plantation, next to McNeil's, a windmill near the house was blown down and one man was killed. Several tenant houses weie dos troyed. The plant of the Willis Canning company near hero was blown down. On the Jubal Morris plantation every tenant house was destroyed. More than a dozen mules ware killed by stables falling on thorn. Miles of fencing was carried away. The fast thiough train from Pittsburg to New York on the Baltimore and Ohio railroad ploughed into a pile of lumber near Dawson, Wednesday, with the result that sixty-three persons were killed, many injured and the train rirtually demolished. Two trains on the Louisville and Nashville railroad collided at Morris, Ala., killing one person and injuring eighteen others. Any persou refusing to pay said commutation tux, perform said work, or furnish the required substitute with necessary tools, shall be fined no less than ten dollars nor more than thirty dollars, or be imprisoned not less than ten days nor more than thirty days, in the discretion of the Mayor. Section. 8 All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith, shall be and the same are hereby re pealed.
