C. Mobley, ofdonesville, who is on a visit to relatives at Heath Springs and Pleasant Hill, was the first man to pay. Mr. J. A. Weaner, who for the past two years was the first to pay, was the second. ?Mr. Chas. W. Roach, an em. ployee at the Haile Gold Mine, had one of his legs broken in two places between the knee and ankle last Thursday. He and two others were on a skip when it left the track and all jumped off. The skip fell over on Mr. Roach's leg breaking it as stated. The leg was set by Dr. L. T. Mr. Steve Welsh was the groom's best man and Miss Ada Clyburn the bride's maid of honor. The bride looked very pretty. She wore a dress of white liberty satin, handsoirte white tulle veil and carried a bouquet ol white carnations. The bride's maids, attired in white, carried golden rods. The ceremony over, the bridal party with a number of invited friends repaired to the home of the groom's father where a sump tuous wedding supper was served. King of Waxhaw, died Wednesday after being sick 52 days with typhoid fever. Mrs. King was 24 3 ears o'd and leaves a husband and three small children. She was a devoted mem ber of tho Baptist church and a I most excellent christian lady. In her home she was all that a de voted wife and mother could bo.
