Steel's place in Ebenezer, shot and killed her brother Will, aged 15 years, Thursday, while projecting with an old musket at her fathor's home. The killing was purely accidental and wiw another en?n of didn't know it was loaded. The girl picked up the musket, and having no suspicion that it was loaded, pointed it at her brother and p.died the trigger. At the crack of the gun the hoy dropped, shot in the right breast. It is known, however, that the sheriff's posse, assisted by a force of the Placorvillc militia, came upon the fugitives near the Grand Victory mine about dusk, and shots wero exchanged. Dull us Bosquit, the son of Sheriff Bosquit, is said to bo umoug the slain, and a message by telephone says his body was found along the roadside. Militiaman Dill was shot through the body, and is not expected to recover. The greatest anxiety prevails here concerning the safety of the soldiers.
