Ferguson came to Hock Hill from Lancaster Sunday eight accompanied by his Hon, A. B., who is about 12 years old. The boy, it will be remembered, was a great sufferer from blood poison in one of his logs about two years ago, the affliction being so serious that his life was despaired of. That was when his father and family lived in this county near Curt-ton's ferry. Ho has never recovered from the trouble and recently his leg has been growing crooked. Monday he was taken to the Koek Hill hospital and an operation was performed by Dr. Fennell, assisted by Dr. Lynn, an inch or more of dead bone being taken out. He stood tho operation well and his condition is very satisfactory. After the operation ho was removed to the homo of his aunt, Mrs. Ida Huey. Oscar A.
