The value of poultry on hand ,J uuo 1. 1900, was $85,794,990; the value of poultry raised in 1899 was $130,891,877. and the value of oggs produced in 1899, was $144,280,158. The total income ^ of the farmers from their poultry industry in 1899, representing the sotal value of eggs produced, as well as the poultry raised, was j $281,178,035. This total makes j the poultry industry one of the ' largest connected with agricul- ' lure.
