Blake, of Dresden, Texas, received just before gob g to press, brings the sad news of the death of Mrs. ike VV. Tillman, which occurred the evening of the 10th instant, after a protracted illness. Our heart goes out in deepest sympathy to Mr. Tillman and his family in their sore bereavement,. j Mr*. Stevens, wife of Mr. Fred Steven.*, died near Sincerity, after a ling?ring illness of consumption, on Monday Inst, aged about 25 years. Her husband and several children survive her. She was a member of Zion Methodist church ! and her remains were buried there ! yesterday after services by Rev. | Mr. Neely. Mr. Benjamin Stogner of this place, died about 2 o'clock a m , I yesterday after a protracted illness I of dysentery He was about 52 years o* age and was a quiet, II peaceable, good citizen. He was a member of the Baptist church ' and lived a life consistent with his 1 profession. He leaves a wife and 1 five children surviving him. His remains were interred at Douglas church yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Laura, wife of Mr. E. A. Dabney, died at her home at the j Manchester Mill Thursday night i after an operation that had been performed that day by Dr. Fennell, assisted by Drs. Lynn and 1 Cornwoll in the removal of a tumor. The shock was too much for her and she succumbed to the , inevitable six hours after the operation. She was about 38 years of|age and was the mother of 7 children, all living. The deceased was a native of Kershaw county and had been living at the mill about two years. liar remains , were interred in Laurel wood cemetery yesterday afternoon after services by Rev. W. E.
