Blackwood, an escaped onvict from Cherokee county, rho is now under arrest in Texas ill the proper papers were made ut and an officer appointed to go fter the man. Today, however, lie man was pardoned on conitiou that he will not return to lie State. The requisition papers rere withdrawn and Black wood rill accept the conditions. He was convicted of stealing a ale of cotton and skipped away oin the chain gang and went to exas. He is there now living ith his wife and three children.
