Ilorton is a young white man, and a short time ago near Westville, shot B G Gaston, unother white man, in the leg. The sentence of the court was a fine of $'25 or three months on the cbaingang. c n This afternoon the case of the State v$ \V .1 Langley, charged with the murder of J A McLane, was tried. Both the prisoner and the deceased we: o white men. It was a clear case of self-defense, *'> much so that the solicitor did nut address the jury on behalf of the State.
