Strong Pressure Being Brought to Bear on President Lou net. London, Sept 13 ? While the papers are full of letters from individuals and seveial firms, announcing their withdrawal from tho Paris exposition and urging the government to do likewise, there is no intention on tho part of tho British government to taking any such steps. It seems also unlikely that tho present agitation will result in anv general withdrawal of British exhibits. Max O'Reill has writton a letter to The Daily Chronicle, saying that a public expression of sympathy will go against Dreyfus, adding: "For God's sake use your inlluenco to stop it. But for the universal sympathy shown for Dreyfus, whom 1 personally believe to bo innocent, in Kngland or Germany he would havo been acquitted. It is a terrible thing to say, but 1 say it and am not afraid of contradiction." The Evening News in urging the formation of a British Legion of Honor, consisting of persons and firms who will have nothing to do with the Paris exhibition nnd publishes a list of over forty firms and others, headed by Sir William Blako Richmond, R A, who will not exhibit. Seven Hundred Kefusc to Go. j Chicago, Sept 1*2 ?
