The Summer School Closes
The Summer school for teachers,
which has been in progress
hero for a month, came to a close;
yesterday. The school in point
of numbers has not been what it
should have been but in the quality
of the work done it has been most
successful I)r Harrison has i
proved a most excellent and
highly satisfactory superintendent
and Mr ltumho a most efficient
assistant. Of the -iij teachers enrolled
at the opening of the school
not many more than half were
constant in attendance to its close.
Some had to stop on account of
their schools opeuing ami some
fow, presumably trot tired and
quit. Another year the school
should open earlier so as to J
finish its session before the county
schools open.
