Miss Janie Caskey, daughter f Mr. John H Caskey, aged 18 errs, died at her father's homo oreral miles South of town, on Vednesday last,after a protracted loess of typhoid fever. MrSweeney granted a pardon to Rotiert Withersjioon, colored, who only likes three months of serving out his sentence on the Lancaster county chain gang. 1'he negro is suffering from lung trouble and was brought from the gang about two months ago to J the jail unable to work. The county physician certified that he is dying in jail and the Solicitor naked the pardon. Farmers' Institute.
