Mr. E H Mobley has had a tint
bored well sunk on his farm. The
depth of it is one Hundred ami
forty-fear feet. Last fall he had
two attempts made to get watei
but had to give up after boring
one hundred and twenty-sever

rock. The work was done by
Creighton and Martin of Rock
Hill who understand their business.
Cedar (lump, Woodmen of the
world, introduced a new member
into the mystery of Woodcraft at
its regular meeting last Thursday
night. This camp is growing and
expects a number of new members
this summer. The Woodmen
pic nic planned for duly 4th has
been put off until sometime in
August. Oitimis.
?Those who calculated that
there would bo no bugs and
worms to molest the crops this
year, owing to last winter's cold,
were badly mistaken. These pests
seem to be unusually numerous.
It has been suggested that their

The Entertainment at Oakhurst. i

quite a success. We had no idea
that there was such talent among
the young people.
The first thing on the program
was a recitation, "The two Thanksgiving
Dances," by Miss Alma
t Beat tie. It was beautifully rendern
ed and well received by the aue

t and well rendered. In it was
a portrayed the downfall of a
