Under the Act ol the Legislature, entitled an "Ac* to organise and supply Negro labor for Coast Delence," a requisition has been made upon Division No 2., comprising the Districts ol Laucastor, Kershaw, Chestai tield, Mailboro, Darlington, Marion, Sumter, Clarendon, Williamsburg, and Horry, to forthwith supply its pioporliou ol slave labor. Col. W. M. Shannon, of Camden, has been appointed Agent for th? Bute to superintend the calling out and orgam Lzatiou ol this labor force. Col. Shannon has issued his orders to all owners of slaves within the Districts named above to furnish one-ball ol their male slaves, subject to road duty, (or one month, receiving credit in the estimate lor labor furnished under former calls.
