Since our connection with the press, we lave repeatedly urged upon ttie people of Lancaster the expediency and necessity ol connecting our District by railroad with mine one of the many railroad thoroughfares vliich now traverse our State in every di- j ectiou. We are not about to tax the patience of ! )?ir readers by a repetition of our notions ipon this subject, idbeit the necessity for he measure,as respects otir pecuniary, cumnctcial, political and social interests, are eeoming more and more apparent every | lay. We revert to the Kulijeet now at the ] nstance of seveial intelligent ami public | ipiritcd citizens, who have come to the eon'lusioti that Lancaster District and the nd- \ acent country, stand in as much need and ! s as well able to build a railroad as any ' tlher quarter of the State. These gentlemen to whom we allude, ieem to ihiuK that a connection with the i south t.'urolina Railroad at Camden is the | latural and proper direction for Lancaster o look forward to. Who that ives within twenty miles of Die course of mid road could consistently refuse to do his much. Admitting that they would ever receive it dollar of dividends, the enaneed value of their lands alone would lore than pay them for the venture.
