' Cincinnati Convoation. Cincinnati, June 2. The Democratic Convention assembled I t noon to-day, nod Saiuuel Medary, Km), of the OMo Statesman, was culled to tliu chair, as temporary Cliairinan. Mr. Medary,ou taking the chair,made a brief speech. Apprehensions of a seiio u light w? r j ent. r taiued on the Missouri,delegation entering the llall by knocking down the doorkeep sr. Quiet, however, was restored, and the Committee of Arrangements stated that they had given tickcu of admission to the -H* members of tbe delegations who had pre, wanted jarima facie evidence of their elec; tiou and bad refused others. In the case of the New York delegations, they had al. v so been unable to decide, and consequently hod refused both, who are now waiting for admission. A committee >11 credentials of one from each uncontested State was appointed.? Mr. Uicbardsou alluded to the Missourians having forced their entrance into the Llall and urged that the Convention should protect itself from violence and insult? Mr. llall, of Missouri, attempted to speak but the chnir refused to recognize hiui.? Mr. l'rice iheu announced the withdrawal I of the Missouri Delegation. Committees of organization and to prepare a platform were appointed, consisting ol one delegate from each uncontested State. The Convention then adjourned uutil to-iuorrow. Cincinnati, June 3. Mr. Dawson, of Pa., reported the per nianent organization of tbo Couvention with General John Ward, of Georgia, as President, one Vice President from ?nch State, with the exception of New York, making thirty-onu \ ice Presidents, and the report was unanimously adopted.? It embrace* the general principles of the last Convention ; denounces religious intolerance and proscription on account of birth* ?lace, and allium the principles of the Lan?ua and Nebraska Act as embodying the only solution of the slavery question, consistent with the nun interference of Congress with slavery in the States and Territories. Cincinnati, June 5. Yesterday the Committee on Credentials had an angry session on the New Turk case. The resolution to admit a portion of each delegation was adopted by a rote of nineteen to ten on the basts of the average vote for each section, for the last three years. A preamble declaring tire Softs the regular organization was carried by a vote of 16 to J 3. A motion tuade , to admit both was rejected by 4 to 20.? A emnaaittoe was appointed to wait on the delegation nt.d to arrange a plan.? The Softs will accept, hut the llsrds will reject the pwponitioit, which will be adop. led ns the report of the majority of the committee. A mino ity icport will also be made. At the afternoon session yesterday the l remaining resolutions were voted for.? The tirst resolution, ayes 223, nays 3 7; tixr boomiu, ayes x?y, liny* 23; third, aye* 1 OA, nay* 04.
