To me be came, and nil his troubles told.
Said he, "She's like a woman raving mad."
"Aloe! my friend." said I, "that's very bad."

"No, not so well," said he;
"For I and her own brother,
Went to law with one another;
I was cast, the suit wns lost,
And every penny went to pay the cost."
"That was bad,'' said 1.
"No, not so bad," said he ;

All fat, and fair, and fine, they were to he."
"Well, then," said I, "sure that was well
for thee."
"No, not so well," said he;
"For, when the sheep I got,

"For I had thought to scrape the fat,
And keep it in an open vat.

How a Thriftless Farmer was Reformed

If you have a place for everything, and
keep it in its place, it you have a time to
do business, and do it in its time, you will

of moment. They are as sure to beeomu

it. Take farming, for instance.?
Now I venture the assertion that two thirds
of all the farmers in this State nre burning

into their - houses and you hear the siting
of the beech, or maple, or elm, as like to the
death dirge of n cockroach as can be. Out
of the chimney top comes forth sinoko dark
as Tartarus, and their wives and hired girls
are cross as bedlam. These men could not
havo time to cut their wood nnd have it
seasoned. Now I charge it on you tlint you
fail not to have time to do ail that you undertake?in
order. Every day accidents,
casualties, catastrophes, providences arc taking
place, because men. women and children
havo not time to do things as they

which is a fact. When I was a boy, there
lived in my native village a fuuily by the
name of Wilson. Thero were four boys
and four girls, nnd they were exceedingly
gifted. Not one of them was there, who
did not rank in beauty intellect nnd personal

may truthfully sny, that for thirty-five years

to bed past midnight and rising past

He immediately sot about it, and by wh?

himself most soundly, dressed himself an
