Our first meeting wns held on tlio first Monday in January 1853 ? At this meeting we assessed the District 37 i per cent, on the general tax, to raise funds for the present vear, and to attend to the general ordinary business that might come before us. The next meeting was held on the first Monday in August, to attend to the ! common business of the Board.
