Miss Elizabeth Timmerman cele brated her fourteenth birthday very delightfully on Saturday afternoon, December eleventh. Quite a large number of little friends enjoying the afternoon with the little hostess. Christmas decorations were used profusely and merry games made the home resound with merriment. - Pound cake, gelatine and whipped cream was served during the happy function. A number of gifts were showered on the honoree with the very sin :erest of wishes for many such happy returns of the day. Delightful Meeting of Music Club. The Philharmonic Music club met vith Misses Miriam and Genevieve Slorris for the December meeting. It was a great pleasure to have the "ievin Musical Club present and their [elections added much to the program for the afternoon. The first number was a piano solo, 'Seigmund's Love Song," played by irs. H. C. Mitchell. Miss Miriam Nor is sang a very appropriate song, Winter." Miss Gladys Padgett play ?d McDowell's "Prelude,'! which iveryone enjoyed. The Nevin quartette then gave 'Gondoliera," by Ethelbert Nevin. ?his was followed by "The Doll's Valtz" by the quartette. Miss Taylor, he reader, gave a reading after rtiich a duet, "My Isle of Golden )reams" was played by two of the levin club. As the recently elected treasurer /as unable to serve, Miss Gladys 'adgett was elected to this office.
