Some Wise Council From a Non-Member. Some people do not stop to think what a pastor of a church has to con tend with. Some think, "Oh, he has a ?rood time." But if they did the work a Baptist minister here in this town is doing, I know they would think al :ogether differently. He went to so much trouble as to send each member a card to come io a business meeting of the church iust before the association, and very few attended. Yet each member snows and believes he is just the /ery best pastor they ever could get, ind then disappoint him by not go ng to church. Then when he is gone, as he may lo, as others have, saying, "Well, I lave done about all I can do here, here are other places I can do much nore good," you will hear the people nourn and groan, as I know they viii do if they lose such a good pas or as they have now.
