We have been informed that the property is not for sale at this time at any price. ,; Methodist Services. In the absence of Rev. A. L. Gun ter who is at Lake Junaluska attend ing an Epworth League conference, Rev. T. C. O'Dell, superintendent of the Epworth Orphanage, will preach in the Edgefield Methodist church Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock and he will also preach in the Trenton Methodist church at 4:30 o'clock Sun day afternoon. Sunday night at 9:00 o'clock Rev. E. C. Bailey will preach in the Edgefield Methodist church. Seventy-one Years Young. Mr. George A. Adams and his daughter, Miss Effie Adams, of Col lier were visitors in Edgefield Mon day, being the guests at dinner of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Mims. He came to Edgefield - skeptical, of our large har vest of beans reported last week but went away fully satisfied of the abun dance of the beans in The Adverti ser's garden. Mr. Adams, although one mile-post beyond the three score-and-ten allotment, is yet young er in spirit than any one of his five sons. Probably no Hotel for a Time. Mr. H. C. Porter told the Adver tiser's representative yesterday that on account of his inability to secure competent servants he will probably goon close his hotel, the only public lodging place in Edgefield. While no ?ne can blame Mr. Porter, yet it would be extremely unfortunate should the town have no hotel. Every body is looking to Mr. W. A. Strom to relieve the situation.
